This project is a collaboration between Universit\u00e9 Laval, Duke University (USA), and Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks. Its goal is to develop tools to better predict how climate change will affect seed production cycles of Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s major tree species.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Desired Profile<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Master\u2019s degree in forestry, biology, geography, or a related discipline<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong interest in forest ecology and\/or silviculture<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work both independently and collaboratively<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excellent oral and written communication skills. French language ability is preferred but not required at the time of application. Both Canadian and international candidates are encouraged to apply<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Availability for fieldwork<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Funding<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A guaranteed scholarship of CAD$30,000 per year for three years. Candidates who obtain a scholarship from NSERC or FRQNT will receive an additional 50% of the value of the scholarship offered in this posting.
