MSc Positions on Rattlesnake Ecology

Dr. Karl Larsen, Thompson Rivers University
Dr. Christine Bishop, Environment Canada

We are seeking statements of interest from would-be graduate students for MSc projects on the conservation of Western Rattlesnakes in south-central British Columbia.   Funding for these project(s) will not be known until closer to spring, but all will focus on the ecology and conservation biology of these animals in relation to development or historical shifts in ecosystems.  Field work will tentatively start in spring upon snake emergence.

Send emails to klarsen@tru.ca and attach a Cv/resume and unofficial copy of transcripts (i.e. a scan is acceptable).  Also please include a statement on why you are interested in graduate school and why a project on rattlesnakes sounds appealing [please note that a long-standing ‘love of snakes’ alone is not sufficient argument].
