Student grants and awards

CSEE provides student travel grants and presentation awards for each year’s annual conference.

We will send a confirmation email so that you can be sure your application has been received and winners will be notified two weeks after the early-bird submission date.

Conference presentation awards

Each year, CSEE administers a Student Award Competition for the best talks and posters.  Prizes of $500, $300 and $200 will be awarded for 1st,  2nd  and 3rd of each presentation type.  Entries will only be accepted until the end of early registration.  Note that no abstract is required for student awards.  To apply, just click the appropriate box during the registration process.

New Meeting Award: “Excellence in Doctoral Research”

In 2016, CSEE launched our society’s new “Excellence in Doctoral Research” awards to highlight the research being conducted by five of our society’s best and brightest young researchers. Winners present their doctoral research in a special “Graduate Student Showcase”. These awards are separate from the regular student talk/poster awards (students are not eligible for both) and are specifically for PhD students within 2 years of finishing their degrees.
